Career Experience

Research Assistant (Project Assistant/Intern) | Justice and Sustainability Associates LLC (JSA) Oct 2018 – Mar 2020
Developed a research framework for an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) firm, that specialized in urban planning, and civic engagement. The framework used the Geographic Information System (GIS) software, Arc Map, to summarize census data, local history, and zoning laws into a report that informed the ADR approach on new projects. Condensed a large dataset of 20 years of past projects into a searchable excel spreadsheet, for future staff to provide examples of the firm’s ADR experience in absence of the retiring Founder/CEO. Coordinated pre-meeting staffing needs and communications of the Georgetown University Community Partnership, a forum created by JSA to mediate conflict and create dialogue between Georgetown University (GU) and surrounding neighborhood residents over GU’s 10-year Campus Plan, for 3 months during an absence of project leadership.

Customer Service Experience

Delivery Driver | Domino’s Team Washington, Warrenton Store Aug. 2020 – Sep. 2021
Engaged with a wide variety of customers in person and over the phone to accurately place orders, ensure special requests were followed, deliver orders safely, and correct any order mistakes/complaints as they happen.

Undergraduate Student Research Project | Department of Environmental Science and Policy| GMU | Sep. 2019 – Dec. 2019
Title of Research: Methodology for Studying the Environmental Impact of Pico-hydro Turbines on Urbanized Streams
Measured the ecosystem quality of a stream on GMU campus through chemical measurements, paired with invertebrate species diversity and abundance, to create a picture of the baseline ecosystem health so that proposed small-scale hydro-power projects can showcase their impact towards GMU’s Sustainability goals.

Roncalli Project GIS Analyst | Engineers for International Development Club | GMU Feb. 2018 – Jan. 2019
Worked with a team of civil engineers to plan renewable energy use for a proposed sustainable community outside of Managua, Nicaragua which was designed to provide permanent housing for 144 low-income families. Created a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) raster from a jpeg image of a topographic map of the project site, through a self-created workflow using Autodesk Civil 3D. Later used to create a solar radiation raster and a flow accumulation map in Arc Map, to estimate the feasibility of solar energy integration and improve stormwater controls on-site.

Student Project Manager | Micro-Turbine Project | GMU July 2017 - Oct 2018
Wrote project grant proposal with the project faculty lead, securing over $15,000 in funding from the George Mason University “Patriot Green Fund” for a period of 2 years to test the feasibility of small-scale hydro power for use as an eco-friendly power source for energy poor communities across the world.Led a team of 3 interdisciplinary students in civil/electrical engineering to model a single ‘pico-hydro’ Pelton turbine using fluid dynamics/mechanics equations, from water velocity data of a storm drain on campus.

Club President | STEAM Undergraduates for Renewable Energy Club | GMU | April 2017 - May 2018
Led a club of multi-disciplinary students to design and begin construction on a portable solar unit, teaching these students the engineering design process as a valuable career skill.
