GIS Technician I

Join the GIS Team at the City of Grants Pass, Oregon!

This position will be responsible for maintaining and updating relational, hierarchal, and spatial databases and providing user training and technical support.

Duties include:

GIS land use data maintenance
Creating addresses
Reconfiguring GIS system changes
Process records and documents
Post website information and images
Assist internal customers in utilizing GIS
Create custom maps
This position will work in-office, Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate’s Degree in a related field and two years of experience in GIS or other computer or web-based mapping are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those in the job description.

Valid driver’s license, Oregon Class C with an acceptable driving record or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
