I am a 28-year-old Senior Geospatial Scientist, Remote Sensing Specialist, and Chief Drone Pilot & Instructor at the Zimbabwe National Geospatial and Space Agency (ZINGSA), where I have served since 2021. Over the past three years, I have gained extensive experience in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and drone operations supporting environmental monitoring, infrastructure mapping, and emergency response planning across Zimbabwe.

I possess a solid academic background with an Honours Degree in Geographical Biogeosciences from the University of Zimbabwe, majoring in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with applications in Biogeosciences.

Key highlights of my experience include:

Drone Operations: Expert in mission planning, flight execution, data acquisition, and post-flight processing. I am proficient with a wide range of RPAS platforms including DJI (full suite), DeltaQuad, Wingtra, and eBee systems.

GIS and Remote Sensing: Skilled in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, and remote sensing tools such as ENVI and Google Earth Engine. I conduct image classification, change detection, flood hazard modeling, and spatial analysis for infrastructure resilience.

Programming & Data Automation: Proficient in Python, R, and SQL, with experience in automating workflows, developing custom geospatial tools, and managing spatial databases.

Field and Aerial Data Collection: Experience leading mobile data collection campaigns, photogrammetric surveys, and multispectral drone mapping for agriculture, water systems, and urban infrastructure.

Collaborative Projects: Proven ability to work in multi-stakeholder environments, including collaborations with government departments, NGOs, research institutions, and humanitarian response teams.

I am fluent in English and currently developing proficiency in French to enhance international collaboration. My strong technical foundation, combined with hands-on field experience and a passion for geospatial innovation, positions me well to support IMPACT’s mission of evidence-based humanitarian response.
