Introduction : Hi, my name is Ke Zhang, and I am a GIS specialist with a strong passion for spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial programming. I hold a B.S. in Geographic Information Science from the University at Buffalo, where I developed expertise in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Google Earth Engine), Python (ArcPy, Pandas), and spatial databases (SQL, PostGIS).
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have worked on crime distribution analysis, urban subway location optimization, and public health data mapping, applying GIS technologies to real-world problems. One of my unique projects involved mask detection and classification, integrating computer vision with geospatial analysis to explore spatial patterns in public health compliance.
Beyond my technical skills, I find inspiration in Daoism, embracing its philosophy of balance, adaptability, and harmony with nature. This perspective influences my approach to work—seeking efficiency, precision, and the ability to adapt to new challenges. I am detail-oriented yet flexible, analytical yet creative, always striving for clarity and purpose in both maps and life.
In my free time, I enjoy martial arts and boxing, which not only keep me physically active but also reinforce discipline and mental resilience. I also appreciate minimalist design and the beauty of well-structured spatial data—whether in GIS or in everyday life.
I am excited to apply my skills in a GIS Analyst or GIS Technician role, where I can leverage geospatial intelligence to drive data-informed decision-making. I look forward to collaborating with like-minded professionals who share a passion for spatial problem-solving and innovation.
